The Amanda Taylor Shoot

When United Auto Sales contacted me about a shoot to sale a 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, I knew I had to get Charlotte Model Amanda Taylor for the job.

Amanda is always great to work with and makes my job easier. As usual, Amanda killed the shoot with her engaging smile and infectious blue eyes. Let me pause for a moment, so you can read that again and check out the pictures below…. you are welcome.

We shot the fully customized 1968 Cadillac Devile at Owens Field Regional Airport on the most perfect day. It rained earlier in the day, leaving the tarmac wet and we got to shoot with an airplane too! I used one of my favorite light modifiers, a Paul C. Buff 86” Soft Silver PLM Umbrella as my main light source.. The large size can light the entire subject with spectacular highlights lights and the background falloff feathers nicely. Its size also help light Amanda and the entire car. I shot at F/8 and positioned the car about 30 feet from the plane. The distance from the car gave me a little bokeh effect on the plane but kept the Caddy and Amanda in focus.
